Rotate PDF Pages guide
Rotate all or selected PDF pages clockwise and download a corrected document without uploading the source.
What this tool does
Rotate PDF Pages changes the rotation property of selected pages by 90, 180, or 270 degrees clockwise. It preserves the number and order of pages and saves a new PDF containing the updated orientation. Existing page rotation is respected, so applying 90 degrees to a page already rotated 90 degrees produces a total orientation of 180 degrees.
Selections accept individual page numbers, inclusive ranges, and comma-separated combinations such as 1-3, 7, 10-12. The tool checks every number against the detected page count and rotates duplicate selections only once.
Changing page rotation is different from rasterizing or redrawing the visible content. The PDF page remains a PDF page, and text or vector information in the source is not intentionally converted to pixels. Some specialized annotations, signatures, forms, or viewer-specific settings may behave differently after any PDF rewrite, so inspect important output before replacing the original.
How to use it
- Select one readable PDF.
- Wait for the detected page count.
- Enter the pages that need correction, or leave the default range to rotate everything.
- Choose 90, 180, or 270 degrees clockwise.
- Select Rotate selected pages and download the result.
Use 90 degrees when pages appear sideways with the top facing left. Use 270 degrees when the top faces right. Use 180 degrees for upside-down pages. If the first attempt is wrong, start again from the original file so the intended angle is not confused with a previous output rotation.
Benefits
- Rotates selected pages rather than forcing one setting on every page
- Supports individual pages and mixed ranges
- Preserves page order and document structure
- Accounts for rotation already stored on each page
- Keeps the source file on the current device
Before using the result
Open the output in the PDF viewer used by the intended audience and scan every changed page. Rotation does not crop margins, reorder pages, run optical character recognition, or permanently remove document metadata. It also does not validate digital signatures. A signed document may report that it was modified after any structural save, even if the visible change is only orientation.
Keep an untouched copy of records, contracts, and official forms. Use an appropriate document workflow when authenticity or archival requirements matter.
