Delete PDF Pages guide

Remove selected pages from a PDF and download a new document while keeping at least one page.

What this tool does

Delete PDF Pages opens one PDF, validates a selection of individual page numbers or inclusive ranges, removes those pages, and saves the remaining document. The operation works from the highest selected index downward so deleting one page does not shift the index of a page that still needs to be removed.

Selections such as 2, 5-7 remove page 2 and pages 5 through 7. Repeated selections are handled once. The tool refuses to remove every page because a valid output document must retain at least one page. One-page source files therefore cannot be processed by this utility.

Page order among the remaining pages is preserved. The tool does not rasterize pages or intentionally alter their visible contents, but any PDF rewrite can affect advanced forms, annotations, attachments, viewer settings, optimization, or digital-signature status.

How to use it

  1. Select a readable PDF containing at least two pages.
  2. Wait for the detected page count.
  3. Enter pages such as 3, a range such as 3-6, or a comma-separated combination.
  4. Select Delete selected pages.
  5. Confirm the remaining page count and inspect the downloaded PDF.

The last page is suggested initially because it provides a safe visible example, but change the selection to match the real task. Start again from the original if a first attempt removes the wrong pages.

Benefits

  • Supports individual pages and mixed page ranges
  • Validates page numbers against the source
  • Prevents an empty output PDF
  • Retains the order of pages that remain
  • Processes the complete operation locally

Review before distribution

Deleting a visible page does not guarantee that every reference to it is removed. Bookmarks, internal links, tables of contents, page labels, form calculations, attachments, and text elsewhere in the document may still mention the old page numbers or missing content. Review navigation and references in the final file.

Page removal is also not a substitute for secure redaction. Confidential text may exist on other pages, in annotations, metadata, attachments, layers, or previous document structures. Use a validated redaction and sanitization workflow when information must be irreversibly removed.

Keep the original for records and signed material. Saving a changed file can invalidate digital signatures or alter evidence of provenance.
