Add Blank PDF Pages guide
Insert one to twenty empty pages at the beginning, end, before a selected page, or after a selected page.
What this tool does
Add Blank PDF Pages opens a readable PDF and inserts new empty pages at a chosen position. You can add pages at the start or end of the document, or select a visible file-order page and insert blanks immediately before or after it. The tool creates between one and twenty pages per operation.
New pages copy the unrotated width and height of a nearby reference page. Pages added at the beginning match the first source page, pages added at the end match the last source page, and pages inserted before or after a selected page match that page. This makes the result more predictable for documents that mix Letter, A4, landscape, or custom dimensions.
The inserted pages are truly blank page objects. They do not copy headers, footers, backgrounds, form fields, watermarks, page numbers, or stationery from the reference page. If you need a repeated designed page, use page duplication instead.
How to use it
- Choose a readable PDF and confirm its page count.
- Select beginning, end, before page, or after page.
- Enter a reference page when the selected position requires one.
- Choose between one and twenty blank pages.
- Select Add blank pages, download the result, and verify the page order.
Page references use file order beginning with 1. They do not follow Roman numerals or custom labels printed inside the document.

- Adds up to twenty pages in one operation
- Matches dimensions to the nearest relevant source page
- Reports the original and final page counts
- Performs all document changes locally in the browser
Common uses and limitations
Blank pages can create note space, section separation, duplex-print alignment, manual worksheet areas, or room for later annotations. For printing, remember that printer duplex settings and inserted blanks work together; test a short copy before producing a large batch.
Adding pages changes the document structure. Existing page-number text is not renumbered automatically, bookmarks or links may still target their original destinations, and digital signatures should not be treated as valid on the modified copy. Complex forms, scripts, portfolios, and accessibility tagging may also require specialist review.
The practical notice is to keep the original file and inspect the complete downloaded document before distribution or printing.
