Set new visible page boundaries by removing measured margins from every side of each PDF page.
What this tool does
Crop PDF Pages applies a crop box to every page in a readable PDF. You enter top, right, bottom, and left margins in millimeters. The tool converts those measurements to PDF points, checks each page, and creates a new document whose normal viewing and printing area excludes the selected margins.
This is useful for hiding scanner borders, reducing excess whitespace, focusing a handout on its central content, or making a consistent trim around pages. Each margin is measured inward from the page's existing unrotated dimensions. Pages can have different sizes, so the same millimeter values may leave different proportions visible.
A PDF crop box is a viewing boundary, not destructive image editing. Content outside the crop can remain inside the PDF and may be revealed by other software or later box changes. Never use cropping as secure redaction. If private information must be removed, use a dedicated redaction process that deletes the underlying content and verify the result.
How to use it
- Choose a readable PDF and confirm its page count.
- Enter the margin to remove from each of the four sides.
- Select Crop all pages.
- Download the new PDF.
- Inspect pages with unusual dimensions, landscape orientation, or rotation.
Begin with small values such as 5–10 mm. The tool rejects settings that would leave any page smaller than half an inch in either dimension. It also limits each margin to 100 mm.

What to check afterward
Review headers, footers, page numbers, annotations, form controls, and printer marks near the edges. Rotated pages can be especially confusing because PDF coordinates and the viewer's apparent top edge may differ. If a mixed document needs different settings per page, split it into compatible groups, crop those groups separately, and merge them again.
Creating a cropped copy changes the file and should not be expected to preserve digital signatures. Bookmarks and document-level navigation also deserve checking when the PDF is complex.
